Surgical Robotics: A Hands-on Experience

Holland Hospital Will Host Robotics Open House

Holland Hospital is proud to lead the state in robotic-guided technology. For the first time, on September 9, we will have all three of our surgical robotic tools in one room for a unique, interactive, hands-on learning experience. We are encouraging students and adults of all ages, with an interest in health care, robotics and technology to join us!

Our robotic-assisted technologies include:

da Vinci® Xi Surgical System – The most advanced instrument among the da Vinci systems, enables surgeons to perform certain surgeries through tiny, one to two centimeter incisions, or in some cases, a single incision.

Mazor X Stealth Edition Robotic Guidance Platform – The latest advanced technology for minimally invasive spine surgery. The Mazor allows for safer, more efficient spinal fusion surgeries for patients.

Mako® Robotic-Assisted technology – This technology enables orthopedic surgeons to more easily pinpoint and replace the damaged part of a knee or hip while saving surrounding healthy bone and ligaments.

All three of these technologies allow for greater precision and speedy recovery and play a key role in the advancement and the future of surgical procedures.

The open house will also feature Holland Hospital’s newest technology, a 4k surgical display. The platform is a minimally invasive surgical tower that provides our surgeons with superior visualization and advanced imaging modalities across an array of specialties. Holland Hospital is the first in West Michigan to have the fully integrated 4k florescent imaging platform.

Holland Hospital medical staff and robotic technology representatives will be available to demonstrate how the robotic equipment works and answer questions. Holland Hospital Human Resources staff will also be available to answer questions about career opportunities.

Join us and try your hand at using this exciting technology!
