For the first time in its history, the National Association for Business Resources has chosen Best and Brightest award winning organizations at the national level, and Holland Hospital is included in the inaugural group of 87 award recipients. The Hospital has also been recognized locally as a West Michigan Best and Brightest organization for nine consecutive years.

The 2011 winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm which reviewed a number of key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners. They include Communication, Community Initiatives, Compensation and Benefits, Diversity and Multiculturalism, Employee Education and Development, Employee Engagement and Commitment, Recognition and Retention, Recruitment and Selection, Small Business and Work-Life Balance.
