Holland - April 9, 2012 - Holland Hospital’s annual fundraiser, Culinary Cabaret, netted a record amount of donations this year, all of which will benefit the Holland Community Health Center on River Avenue in Holland.  The event raised more than $161,000, exceeding last year’s total by more than $25,000.

“With everyone doing their part, we were able to raise $25,000 more than last year,” said Colleen Perdok, Holland Hospital Fund Development Coordinator. “This outpouring of support shows just how important quality health care is to our community.”

More than 600 guests attended the Culinary Cabaret in March.  The evening featured fine food samplings from 12 area restaurants, more than 60 raffle items, and musical entertainment.  Honorary co-chairs for this year’s event were Drs. Dan and Cecilia Cook, and Roger and Anne Gamache.

The staff of the Holland Community Health Center cares for more than 400 patients a month with approximately 4,800 visits a year. The Center serves a diverse population with the majority being uninsured or under-insured.  The services most frequently provided are immunizations for children, well-child, preventative check-ups and diabetes care.  On an annual basis, Holland Hospital provides over $720,000 in financial support for the Holland Community Health Center.
