A Night of Fine Food, Fun, and Fundraising for the Holland Community Health Center
HOLLAND, Mich., March 26, 2024 — Holland Hospital’s annual Culinary Cabaret, which took place March 14, was a resounding success, raising a record $232,299 to benefit the Holland Community Health Center (HCHC). This incredible sum directly supports HCHC's vital mission of providing essential health care services to the community.
The 2024 Culinary Cabaret was emceed by Jordan Carson as over 550 guests and volunteers came together for a night of culinary delights. Attendees enjoyed delectable samplings from some of the lakeshore's finest restaurants, including familiar favorites and exciting newcomers.
Plus, the evening wasn't just about delicious food! Guests had the chance to bid on a wide range of exciting silent and live auction packages donated by generous corporate sponsors, local businesses, and individual supporters. The competitive spirit was high, and everyone enjoyed vying for these unique offerings.
Though, as any attendee can attest, the true heart of the Culinary Cabaret lies in its support for the Holland Community Health Center. For over 25 years, HCHC has been dedicated to providing primary health care services to uninsured and underinsured individuals and families in the greater Holland area. Its mission is critical, and the funds raised at the Cabaret directly impact the lives of countless community members.
"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the 2024 Culinary Cabaret,” said Colleen Perdok, fund development coordinator at Holland Hospital as she expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support. "This event is essential for HCHC, and the resources it raises allow us to continue providing vital health care services to our community."
HCHC, which is fully funded by Holland Hospital, serves over 4,560 individuals annually in the Holland, Fennville, West Olive, Saugatuck, and Douglas areas. HCHC serves as a beacon of hope, offering comprehensive and affordable health care services to members of the community who need it most.
Following a successful event in 2023 that raised $196,581 and a successful virtual event in 2022 that raised $124,000 for HCHC, the 2024 Culinary Cabaret upheld the legacy of this impactful annual event with the tradition of delicious food, fun, and most importantly, supporting the vital work of the Holland Community Health Center.
