Tue, Sep 13, 2016
Holland Hospital’s School Nurse 5K Run/Walk is back!
This family-friendly, non-competitive, 5K takes place Thurs., Oct. 6 at Holland High School, 600 Van Raalte Ave. Proceeds from this event benefit Holland Hospital’s School Nursing Program which serves the needs of more than 11,000 students in 5 local school districts.
The School Nurse 5K Run/Walk is designed to encourage physical activity among students. Registration is only $10. Kids can qualify to run for FREE by completing ten 30-minute physical fitness activities of their choice and recording their activity on the Fitness Tracker card found online or in the school’s main office.

School nurses are an integral part of caring for our area students by providing medication administration, treating illnesses, managing chronic diseases and promoting good health through education. Sometimes the nurse is the only health professional a student will see that year. Organizers ask that children 12 and under are accompanied throughout the route by an adult as the route is not closed to traffic.

To register, download a physical fitness activity card, or find more information, visit hollandhospital.org/schoolnurserun or call 355-3975. Register by Fri, Sept. 23 to guarantee a shirt!
