First hospital along the Lakeshore to install care.ai™ Autonomous Monitoring Devices
Working to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and increasing the safety for patients, visitors and staff are top priorities for Holland Hospital. Properly screening everyone who enters the facility continues to play an important role in completing these tasks. To help maximize the efficiency of the hospital’s new screening protocols and ensure the safety of everyone who enters, Holland Hospital is implementing convenient thermal sensor imaging technology for skin temperature checks at its main campus entrances.
Care.ai’s self-serve devices, endorsed by the Michigan Hospital Association, will scan an individual’s skin temperature and alert staff when a temperature is out of range.
“It is pertinent everyone who enters the hospital gets to their destination quickly and safely,” said Greg Chatfield, director of Security and Support Services. “This fast, easy and non-intrusive system will not only streamline our point of entry process, but will also allow several of our staff to return to their pre-COVID employment positions,” he added.
The process is simple and efficient:
- Step up to the tablet and move glasses, hats and hair off forehead
- Center forehead in the frame as directed
- Thermal sensor scans skin temperature
