Top National Award Reflects Holland Hospital's Consistent Quality of Care

For the fourth year in a row, Holland Hospital has earned the America’s 50 Best Hospitals Award from Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.
Of the nearly 4,500 hospitals assessed across the country, this distinction places Holland Hospital in the top 1% of hospitals to demonstrate superior clinical outcomes across the majority of common inpatient conditions and procedures.

According to Healthgrades, patients treated in hospitals achieving the America’s Best Hospitals Award have, on average, a 22.3% lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that did not receive this award. If all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to hospitals achieving this award, on average, 162,284 lives could potentially have been saved.
Healthgrades is acknowledged as one of the most respected sources of unbiased quality ratings. Unlike some awards, hospitals cannot influence the ratings with their own subjective reporting and they cannot opt in or out of participation.
In addition to the America’s 50 Best Hospitals award, Holland Hospital also received the Distinguished Hospital of Clinical Excellence award for the 9th consecutive year; America’s 100 Best Hospital for three areas - Orthopedic Surgery, Joint Replacement (5 yrs.) and Prostate Surgery (3 yrs.); and the Pulmonary Care Excellence Award (4 yrs.); as well as numerous other accolades.
