Holland Hospital: Excellence in Hip Replacement

High Performing Hospitals - Hip Replacement

U.S. News & World Report Recognizes Holland Hospital for Excellent Care in Hip Replacement

Holland Hospital is receiving national recognition as a High Performing Hospital in hip replacement by the U.S. News & World Report.

The U.S. News analysis of hospitals includes data from nearly 5,000 healthcare centers across multiple medical specialties, procedures and medical conditions. Of all hospitals evaluated, fewer than 30% earned a single High Performing rating. These ratings focus on individual procedures and conditions not just with the most difficult cases, but with the full range of patients.

U.S. News compares data from multiple sources, including the Standard Analytical File, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association’s annual survey, American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Mortality and readmission rates, length of stay, patient volume, patient safety and nurse staffing are all factored into each assessment.

“This honorable recognition is a reflection, not only of the hospital itself, but of the team of individuals who work tirelessly and collaboratively to ensure high quality patient care throughout the entire joint replacement experience,” said Holland Hospital Spine & Orthopedics Program Manager, Kristie Dennett, RN, MSN, ONC.

Holland Hospital offers a full range of hip replacement services, including direct anterior and various posterior approach options, revision hip replacement surgery and hip fracture treatment. In addition to excellence in hip replacement, Holland Hospital offers both traditional and Mako robotic-arm assisted partial and full knee replacement. More than 3,100 hip and knee replacement surgeries, combined, have been performed since 2015.

Beyond national recognition, Holland Hospital takes pride in delivering care with compassion. Learn more about the joint replacement procedures Holland Hospital offers.
