America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention

Holland Hospital earns spot among top 5% in the nation

Holland Hospital has been rated as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention based on an objective comparison of nearly 4,500 hospitals across the nation. Healthgrades, a leader in hospital and physician quality measurement, ranks Holland Hospital in the top 5% of hospitals for exceptional quality and outcomes for patients who require PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), or opening a heart’s artery to improve blood flow to the heart muscle.

“This national recognition reflects the dedication to quality and excellent work of our entire team,” said Natalie Hirdes, Cardiac Cath Lab manager. “It validates our long-standing commitment to provide high quality care and ensure the best outcomes for every patient we treat.”

Clinical performance differs dramatically among hospitals. Patients treated at hospitals that earned the America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention Award have, on average, a 46 percent lower risk of experiencing a complication than other hospitals.

From January through October 2018, 225 Coronary interventions have been performed at Holland Hospital. All PCI’s take place in Holland Hospital’s advanced Cardiac Catheterization Lab which boasts state-of-the-art procedure rooms, a comfortable pre and post-procedure space, and a convenient short-stay environment with private patient rooms.

It is the efforts of Holland Hospital’s expert cardiovascular specialists, experienced Cath Lab team and all hospital employees and volunteers that make this achievement possible.
