Committed to Safety. Here for You

Your wellness, and the health and safety of all our patients and visitors, is our priority. Remember, we’re here for you—during the pandemic and beyond. Whether it’s a routine physical, immunizations for yourself or your children, a surgery, or even emergency medical services, it’s safe to seek care at Holland Hospital.

Your Safety is Our Priority

Holland Hospital has several protocols and practices in place to ensure your safety, including:

  • Skin temperature checks required upon entry at all of our locations. Plus convenient, contactless and easy to use thermal self-scanning stations at main campus entrances.
  • Clean face masks. All staff, patients and approved visitors and vendors are required to wear a face mask before entering the hospital, our physician offices or other offsite facilities.
  • Staff safety requirements. Staff at all of our locations are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, gowns and eye protection, as needed. All staff members have been expertly trained in the use of PPE.
  • Social distancing measures. Furniture has been rearranged in waiting, patient and staff areas to maintain 6-foot distance. High-touch items like magazines and coffee supplies have been removed, and adjustments made with the exercise equipment for cardiac rehab patients to maintain 6-foot distancing.
  • Extra cleaning precautions. Our environmental services teams work hard to ensure all care areas are cleaned and sanitized between patients. And extra attention is given to door handles, chair seats, arm rests, iPads and other high-touch areas throughout the day. Holland Hospital also uses state-of-the-art UV technology for high-tech disinfection.
  • Handwashing areas and sanitizing gel are readily available.
  • Patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are symptomatic are isolated in specific treatment areas.

Visiting Us

  • Our current visitor guidelines state that hospital, surgical center and offsite clinic patients will be allowed one adult visitor. Pediatrics patients are allowed to have both parents or guardians with them. Read our guidelines for details and special circumstances.

Virtual Care

  • Holland Hospital primary and specialty physician office providers, behavioral health providers and rehab therapists offer patients the convenience of a virtual care visit. Through secure phone consultation or video call-in, a telehealth appointment allows you to simply and safely connect with your doctor or provider.
  • Remote (curbside) check-in for medical appointments is available.

COVID-19 Screening/Testing

  • Holland Hospital and Ottawa Co.Dept. of Public Health have partnered to offer COVID-19 testing in Holland. No referral is needed, but an appointment is required.
