The Center for Good Health is committed to helping you stay on the road to better health by providing screenings and wellness programs that fit your life. We also partner with area businesses to enhance their employee wellness programming. Services include:

  • Nutrition & Wellness
    • 1 on 1 Nutrition Coaching

      Struggling to lose weight? Diet demanding a makeover? Meeting with a Registered Dietitian may be just what you need to get started toward your wellness goals. One on one nutrition coaching provides direct access to our Registered Dietitian who will work with you to create a customized plan to fit your nutritional and healthy weight needs. This service is comprised of three 30 minute sessions, which include body composition and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing.



    • 1 on 1 Tobacco Free Coaching

      This program offers a personalized approach to quitting nicotine and tobacco products for good. Learn about the stages of quitting and get one-on-one support thoughout the process. We work with you to develop your own personal quit plan. We will also discuss nicotine replacement products and how to effectively use them, how to cope with triggers and withdrawal symptoms, how to manage cravings and stress and live a life tobacco-free. Individual workbook is also included. Includes four 30-minute appointments.



    • 1 on 1 Wellness Coaching

      Good information and a postive attitude are often not enough to succeed on the path of better health. Confidential one-on-one coaching can make the difference between success and struggle, short-term gains and long-term sustainable changes. The Center for Good Health wellness coaches are health promotion professionals who will help you bridge the gap between knowing the right steps to take, then turning that knowledge into action. We invite you to utilize our wellness coaches on your journey to better health. Includes three 30-minute sessions



    • Body Composition Testing

      Find out what you're made of! Are you heavy but fit? Slender but soft? It's not just pounds that matter. If you're curious about your body mass index, percent body fat or basal metabolic rate, we've got the answers. Come in for a private, confidential screening and leave with resources for making healthy lifestyle choices that can tip the numbers in your favor.



    • Cholesterol & Glucose Screening

      Keeping an eye on your blood sugar and cholesterol helps protect you from diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Knowledge is power!

      Call the Center for Good Health to register, and then be screened at any Holland Hospital Laboratory Services location. You must not eat or drink anything for 12 hours prior to this blood draw.

      You must have the lab draw within 30 days of registration.

      Living with a chronic illness can sometimes seem like a full-time job. That’s why we’re here for you to lean on every step of the way. Our disease management programs and staff can help you understand and take better control of your disease—so you can live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

    • Diabetes Self-Management Education Program

      If you have diabetes (or think you might), the first and best thing you can do is learn all you can about the condition. Being proactive with your disease and your lifestyle is critical to your long-term health.

      Holland Hospital’s Diabetes Self-Management Education Program can give you the knowledge, tools and support you need to successfully manage your diabetes. Based on national standards developed by the American Diabetes Association, our program embraces a team approach that includes you, your loved ones, your primary care doctor and our diabetes educators.

      Our Certified Diabetes Educators provide comprehensive ongoing education in both one-on-one and group settings. Group clases are offered on Monday mornings and on Thursday evenings. This is an insurance-covered program; co-pays may apply.



    • Supermarket Smarts

      Hate to grocery shop? Why not learn from a pro by shopping one-on-one with a Registered Dietitian. We'll begin by meeting to discuss meal planning and creating an efficient shopping list. Then we'll take off to your favorite grocery store where you will learn how to make healthier choices while shopping and have the opportunity to ask questions about grocery items you frequently buy. This 2 1/2 hour learning opportunity will undoubtedly be worthwhile!



    • Wellness Package

      Looking to improve your diet and fitness level? Need help reaching your personal health goals? This Wellness Package includes three 30-minute visits with a Registered Dietitian and three 60-minute personal training sessions. Includes a body composition assessment and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing. Ongoing, call to register and to set up your first appointment.

      The Center for Good Health is now offering personal training at our facility, 175 S Waverly, Suite A, in Holland. Meet one-on-one with a fitness professional to develop a prgram specifically designed to fit your needs and goals. Let our trainers help you maximize your workout and minimize risk of injury.

    • Punch Pass for Fitness Classes at Center for Good Health

      Like variety in your workouts? Need a flexible schedule? The Center for Good Health Punch Pass is for you! Pass holders may drop in on a first come, first served basis. ONLY registered participants are guaranteed a spot. If no space is available, community Punch Pass holders may use the CfGH Fitness Studio for a punch.

      Punch Passes expire four months from date of purchase.

      Fitness classes are geared for adults. We welcome students age 16 and over if their parent also purchases a punch pass and attends the same class.
