Women's health is unique. Primary and specialty care experts include physicians specializing in cardiology urology, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, family and internal medicine, women's midlife and menopause, bone health, breast health and behavioral health. All in your community. In addition, you may encounter some of the following specialists:
Nurse Navigator whose primary responsibility is to guide, support and coordinate the care of women dealing with breast cancer.
- Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Social Workers
- Pelvic Rehabilitation therapists trained to help women optimize the strength and function of their pelvic floor muscles
- Labor and Delivery Nurses who take care of expectant mothers in labor, monitoring the mother and baby and assisting the mother throughout the labor and delivery process
- Lactation Consultants help mothers and babies with nursing and nursing difficulties
