When Warren Westenbroek first experienced chest pain, he didn’t think much of it. But while driving back to his office, the pain became impossible to ignore. Thankfully, Holland Hospital was nearby.
After an immediate EKG our ER team determined that Warren was experiencing a heart attack. Our highly trained Cath Lab Team quickly performed PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), a minimally invasive procedure to unblock a coronary artery. Following a brief hospital stay, Warren enrolled in our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program to learn exercises and lifestyle modifications that would improve his health into the future.
At the time of his heart attack, Warren didn’t know that Holland Hospital’s PCI treatment times are better than the national average. Or that we are one of only a few hospitals in West Michigan to offer the emergency procedure. He did, however, appreciate the expert heart care he received. “If you ask me,” he says, “you couldn’t find better care.”
