The presence, input and participation of loved ones is encouraged as much as possible at Holland Hospital.
Visiting hours are flexible to achieve a balance between the patient’s need for visitors and rest. They may also vary depending on a patient’s condition and daily care activities such as meals, bathing and scheduled medical procedures.
For optimal times to visit, please consult with the patient directly or his or her immediate family. Or you can contact the Nursing Station by calling the hospital's main number. Children are welcome to visit, but please remember that hospital rooms are not childproof. Therefore, children must be supervised by an adult visitor at all times.
Visiting the Boven Birth Center and Special Care Nursery
General visiting hours for the birth center are from 7 am–9 pm. In an effort to preserve quiet family time and bonding, visitors may also gather in the family lounge.
Visiting Behavioral Health Services
Patients on the Behavioral Health floor are involved in classes and therapy during the day, so visiting hours are scheduled in the evening when there is free time. Hours are posted on the unit and given to family members at admission. Please check with a member of the immediate family or call the hospital's main number for more information.
Holland Hospital provides language services for clinical interpretation free of charge to Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients and those with sensory limitations, including deaf and blind individuals, who request interpretation assistance. These services are available at all times at all Holland Hospital locations 24 hours a day, free of charge, upon patient request. Bilingual hospital staff may interpret. Patients may also request a family member, friend, or minor to interpret. Holland Hospital will ensure that all vital documents are translated accurately into the primary language of LEP patients.
