Nephrology Services

Residents of the Lakeshore area with kidney problems will no longer need to drive to another city for renal (kidney) care.  Several nephrologists - doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease - are now offering services at Holland Hospital. The new kidney services will be more convenient for patients with chronic kidney disease or health conditions that can affect kidneys, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

Renal Associates of Grand Rapids, PC is located in an outpatient clinic at Holland Hospital. Nephrologists visit Holland on a rotating basis to see patients at the clinic and will be providing inpatient consultations at the hospital.

West Michigan Nephrology, PC, based in Muskegon, has also opened a local office and has specialists available to see patients on a limited basis at Michigan Medical PC in Holland.

Renal patients should be referred to the local nephrology clinics by their physicians.  Please contact your physician or nephrologist for more information.
