Laboratory Services
Holland Hospital Laboratory Services offers state-of-the art facilities and equipment. Nearly 290,000 patients are served each year at the 6 different locations along the Lakeshore area. Hours at the service centers are designed to offer maximum access to our customers; appointments are only necessary for glucose tolerance tests.
The labs are linked through a courier system that offers year-round service for the transport of specimens, supplies and reports. Most routine test results are available within 24 hours. Many physician offices are linked electronically with our information systems to expedite test ordering and reporting. |

Enhanced Service Area with latest tech Nology
In 2007 Holland Hospital's Laboratory Services completed renovated space to provide greater laboratory efficiency. The new Lab's open design allows for staff to perform most of the testing around a central automated test system. Additional work areas include space for histology, microbiology, molecular biology and customer service.
The lab is equipped with the latest technology, including computer-assisted image analysis, which aids in early cancer detection, and a new pathology information system that uses bar codes to track specimens and software for interpreting results.
