Special Care Nursery (SCN)

Holland Hospital now provides advanced care for pre-term babies born as early as 32 weeks. These expanded services and technologies keep families close to home and eliminate the need to transfer moderately ill babies to other facilites.

The spacious Special Care Nursery offers a state-of-the art OmniBed at each neonatal bay. Staffed by pediatric hospitalists and highly trained neonatal nurses, newborns get the treatment, care and extra support needed before going home.

Focused on family, parents are always welcome at the bedside. Special areas provide family members lockers, lounge, living room, small kitchen, internet access and bathroom with a shower. Whimisical decor and electonically controlled ambient lighting provide a calming atmosphere and promote optimal circadian rhythm and comfort.
