Fabulous chefs, locally prepared food, top notch auction items and a fun-filled room with more than 600 guests created the perfect environment for a record-setting Culinary Cabaret event on March 7.
Attendees, event partners, and local restaurants helped to raise $174,215 for the Holland Community Health Center, surpassing last year’s fund raiser by more than $13,000.
“We are so fortunate to have so many individuals, corporations and organizations that understand the health care needs within our community,” said Colleen Perdok, Holland Hospital Fund Development Coordinator. “This outpouring of support shows just how important quality health care is to our community, and we thank each contributor for making a positive impact.”
The event’s success can be attributed to:
- Over 125 volunteers giving their time and energy
- 12 restaurants offering their finest cuisine
- 42 organizations and individuals donating over $105,000 in partnerships
- 75 businesses donating raffle items that raised over $55,000
42 business and individuals contributing $14,215 in donations and ticket sales
- 16 dedicated volunteer committee members
Special recognition was given to Butch's Dry Dock which received the Top Chef Award, and to the New Holland Brewing Company which was picked as the top Culinary Artist for display creativity. The event was co-chaired by Drs. Dan and Cecilia DeCook and Dr. Ned and Nancy Fody.
