Holland Hospital offers comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular conditions – from life-saving Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) for emergency treatment of heart attacks to a variety of other vascular procedures performed in our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab. In fact, our treatment of heart attacks is recognized as among the best in hospitals our size by the National Registry for Myocardial Infarction, not to mention our nationally recognized CHEER Program for heart failure patients.
Our expert Interventional Radiology (IR) team treats disease and injury beneath the skin with advanced imaging technology and minimally invasive techniques. Vascular and nonvascular IR procedures – including stenting to restore blood flow, thrombolysis to dissolve blood clots, vertebroplasty to repair fractured vertebra, TIPS and other procedures - are performed in our recently expanded IR facilities.
Holland Hospital Neuroscience and Neurosurgery Services provide Lakeshore-area residents high-level, advanced care close to home. Our experienced, board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles. Treatment is provided for a variety of conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, headaches, stroke, neuropathy, myasthenia gravis and multiple sclerosis. Our services include Stereotactic Neurosurgery, a procedure which makes it possible for experts to achieve a superior level of precision in intracranial surgery.
Holland Hospital has long featured advanced imaging equipment such as CT, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray. This year we added the area’s most advanced 64-slice Volume Computed Tomography (VCT) Scanner. This leading edge technology captures images of a beating heart in five heartbeats, an organ in one second and whole body trauma in just ten seconds. The result is superior imaging for accurate diagnosis and expert treatment.
Holland Hospital surgical teams perform a full range of inpatient and outpatient procedures. The area’s most skilled surgeons work closely with our experienced and caring staff to deliver the very best in surgical care. From minimally invasive surgical treatments to complex neurosurgery cases, your personal care and safety are our top priorities. We also offer the daVinci Robotic Assisted Surgery for prostatectomies and other procedures. Using the daVinci, trained surgeons perform complex surgeries through tiny laparoscopic incisions that result in less blood loss, quicker recovery and faster return to normal activities. Staffed byboard-certified pediatric hospitalists and highly trained neonatal nurses, newborns get the treatment, care and extra support needed before going home.
