We offer the services and help you need for recovery and rehabilitation after breast cancer treatments.
Holland Hospital Rehabilitation Services provides dedicated
therapy and intervention after a mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast
Our Comprehensive Breast Care Services include specially trained
therapists who will assess, treat and help reduce possible side effects reduction
of swelling and help you maintain proper mobility and range of motion
needed for daily living. The therapists are Lymphedema-Certified and
have had Breast Care Rehabilitation training and certification from nationally recognized
Early intervention can help reduce complications during the recovery
process as well as improve healing time. Our rehabilitation team offers a
comprehensive program to provide you with the care and services you
need post-surgically in the hospital for positioning and education, at
home for continued support and in our outpatient clinics.
The team will work closely with your physician to determine your needs based on your specific surgery and upcoming follow-up care.
Survivorship & Support
Once active chemotherapy treatment has finished you will begin a
follow-up routine for on-going monitoring and care. Patients are
referred for a one time appointment with a Cancer Survivorship
Coordinator through Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan
as soon as chemotherapy is complete. The visit will provide an
opportunity to discuss next steps and you will receive an individualized
care plan consisting of:
- Your treatment summary
- Your follow-up plan
- Lifestyle recommendations
- When to call with symptoms
Home Health Services
Our skilled and compassionate team at Home Health Services is available 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, to meet short or long-term needs at home. In addition to nursing and rehabilitative care, we can assist with daily personal needs such as meal preparation,
bathing, housekeeping, errands and other essential tasks.
