Assessment/Care Planning
Behavioral Health Services offers a comprehensive approach to care including:

• Comprehensive Evaluation and Assessment
• Psychological Testing
• Medication Management
• Counseling and Therapy

After a thorough patient assessment, care begins with a discussion of treatment options to ensure the individual will receive care at the appropriate level with the least possible disruption of their life circumstances. Based on this discussion, an individualized treatment plan is developed to best meet the patient's specific needs. This plan may include individual, group and family therapy depending on specific concerns. A variety of treatment approaches may be used which include physical, emotional, and spiritual components.

Patient Referral
Treatment may be initiated by any individual, family member, physician, employer or social service agency. We are available 24 hours/day to assist the individual referring party in determining the appropriate treatment. All referrals and admissions are kept confidential. However when appropriate, efforts are made to communicate with family members and others who may be significant in the patient's treatment success.

Inpatient Care
In addition to outpatient care, Holland Hospital offers impatient care for behavioral health concerns.  Out impatient care unit is located within the hospital to provide crisis stabilization, intensive short-term treatment and medication management for patients aged 18 and older.  The modern, comfortable setting is uniquely designed to help patients regain a stable situation and move to outpatient care.  Referral begins with a thorough assessment of the individual's medical and physical needs.  The unit accepts voluntary and involuntary patients.  Patients are admitted to the impatient behavioral center by going through the Emergency Department.  Please read more about our inpatient services.

Insurance/Payment 
Behavioral Health Services treatment is covered by most commercial insurances. We work closely with managed care organizations to provide quality, cost-effective treatment options. Our staff is committed to coordinate care with physicians, referral agencies, employers, managed care representatives and others who have an interest in helping the individual with his or her treatment needs.
