Offers Convenience
Paying your hospital bills is getting easier at Holland
Hospital. Beginning with the launch of our new
Online Bill Pay service next month, you will be able
to view your current patient statement and pay your
bill from the convenience of your home computer.
All you have to do is log on to Holland Hospital's newly renovated website at hollandhospital.org and click on the Online Bill Pay icon in the lower right corner. For security purposes, you will be asked to register and create a password before gaining access to your account.
Once there, your online statement will look similar to the paper statement sent to your home, with explanations of charges for services you or a member
of your family received at Holland Hospital. After
viewing your balance, you can make payments using
a variety of options, including VISA® or MasterCard®.
The online service is free and designed to be user-friendly, says Patient Accounts Manager Ed Zahurak. "We wanted to be more accessible to our patients, and Online Bill Pay accomplishes that. People will have the ability to see up-to-date account information, pay bills and track their balance without even picking up the phone."
Of course, Patient Accounts personnel will continue to be available by phone, at (616) 394-3122. For those who prefer to pay in person, Cashier Offices are now conveniently located in the hospital, at both the main and lower level entrances. They are open Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Online features
Security of patient information is a key component of Online Bill Pay. "Each patient's account requires a secure password created by the person to whom the bill would be addressed," explains Tom Salisbury, director of Patient Administration. "The site also has built-in safeguards to ensure that all transactions are completely confidential. Patient privacy is a priority at Holland Hospital."
In addition to up-to-date patient statements, the site will also contain:
• An explanation of charges and services
• Frequently asked questions (and answers!)
• Payment options and insurance information
• A glossary of terms
