From the President
Dear Friends,
Having a healthy community is a two-way street.
While the physicians, nurses and all of the health
care staff at Holland Hospital are dedicated to
providing first-rate medical care, we also rely on
you to communicate with us about services and
needs that are important to your family's health.
That was the idea behind a study we recently
conducted involving more than 200 women ages
40 to 65. We asked our participants to tell us
what types of midlife services they were interested
in. As a result, Women's Midlife Services has
been added to our Center for Women's Health
and Wellness. You can learn more about this new
program at a special event to be held on Sept.
30. Click here for more information.
Our community's needs are also behind the
addition of many other services at Holland
Hospital. Click here to learn about
our expanded Cardiovascular Lab, fitted with the
latest GE digital imaging technology that allows
physicians to view the entire cardiac and vascular
system – down to the blood vessels in your toes –
in one quick procedure. That's good news for
people with peripheral arterial disease, also
explained on those pages.
There's also good news for people who
have problems with kidney stones. Lithotripsy, a
noninvasive, outpatient treatment for breaking up
kidney stones, is now available at Holland Hospital.
There's more inside. Our goal is to give you and
your family the information, services and expertise
you need to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
In good health,

Dale Sowders
