Phones
Telephones are provided in each room for patients to use at any time and instructions are printed on the phone.   Cell phones and personal transmitting devices (pagers, etc.) may not be used in any patient care area and should be turned off. Holland Hospital’s main switchboard is available at (616) 392-5141.  Operators will transfer calls to patient rooms between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.  Friends and family may call the patient directly if they have been given the number of the patient’s bedside phone.  Patients can share that number but hospital operators may only transfer callers to patient rooms and are not permitted to give room phone numbers to callers.

Internet
Holland Hospital has a wireless network that makes Internet access available to patients and guests in all areas of the hospital, including the Café, Coffee Cover, all waiting areas and patient rooms.  Unlike pagers or cell phones laptops do not interfere with the functioning of medical devices. Technical support is available at the hospital should a visitor experience a dead-zone or need assistance.
