You will be called by registration personnel prior to your arrival at the hospital.  At that time they will register you for your stay as well as give you any information you need to know prior to your visit including where to park.  If you arrive at the hospital and are uncertain how to get where you need to go, just ask ask for assistance at the Information Desk.

We want patients to be as comfortable as possible during their hospital stay. You are welcome to bring your own sleepwear and toiletries. For articles such as glasses, hearing aids and dentures, it is helpful if you label the case or container with your name and place the items in your bedside stand when not in use. Please do not place them on your food tray or bed linen. Patients are responsible for these items. For safety reasons, do not bring razors or personal electrical appliances such as radios or hair dryers; battery-operated or cordless appliances are acceptable.

You should also bring with you:

  • Picture identification
  • Insurance card
  • Any instructions your physician may have provided

If you have valuable items with you, please send them home with a family member or friend. If this is not possible, request to have the items kept in the hospital safe. Holland Hospital is not responsible for items of value unless they are deposited in the safe. If, after discharge, you find that you have left something behind, call the Security Office at (616) 494-4225. We will make every effort to locate lost items.
