Pain after joint replacement surgery varies from person to person. At Holland Hospital, we are committed to keeping you as comfortable as possible utilizing the latest medications and techniques throughout your recovery.

We employ a "multi-modal" approach to pain management.  This means we attack the pain from many different angles to help you keep your pain at a manageable level and continue your participation rehabilitation activities.

Different anesthesia techniques are used including a variety of pain medications, anti-inflammatory medications and medications to relieve muscle spasms. We also incorporate non-medication techniques to help manage pain.
