For the past five years, the Holland Hospital Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to qualified students who desire to continue their education in the healthcare field.  The scholarship is available to college juniors and seniors whose graduation is within 18 months of the application deadline and whose permanent residence is in the greater Holland and Zeeland area. Applicants can attend colleges outside of the greater Holland/Zeeland area and still be eligible as long as their permanent residence is one of the zip codes listed below.

Eligibility:
Permanent resident of one of the following zip codes:

• 49423 Central Holland
• 49424 North Holland
• 49464 Zeeland
• 49460 West Olive
• 49453 Saugatuck
• 49419 Hamilton
• 49408 Fennville
• 49450 Pullman
• 49426 Hudsonville
• 49010 Allegan

Application Checklist:

• The application which is downloadable here.

• An official college transcript.  You can get instructions how to obtain an official transcript from the registrar's office.

• Three letters of reference.  One reference should be from a current instructor in the student's major field.  The other two references can be of your choosing.

• A letter/essay telling the scholarship committee about yourself, your background, interests, volunteer experience and the contribution you hope to make to the medical field.

Please do not send any additional or extra materials as they will not be considered and will not be returned.

Deadline:
Completed applications are due no later than March 1.
Applications will be reviewed by the end of March and applicants will be notified by mid-April of each year.
